The short version

We don’t know which apps you lock. We don’t read your Screen Time. There is no
advertising, no tracker, and nothing is sold on. The only thing we hold by
default is the email address on your order.

What never leaves your iPhone

This stays on your device. We don’t receive it, and we couldn’t receive it even
if we wanted to.

- The apps, categories and sites you pick. iOS hands Qube opaque tokens and
nothing else. The app can show them because the system draws the name and the
icon itself — it cannot read them. That is a guarantee from Apple, not a
promise from us.
- The names of your modes.
- Your Screen Time. The API does not make it readable by an app.

Deleting Qube from your iPhone removes all of it.

What we hold

Your email address, the one on your order. It sends you your sign-in code
and confirms you own a Qube. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you,
GDPR article 6(1)(b).

Your order, handled by Shopify. We read its payment state to open the app,
and a refund closes it again.

Fingerprints, never the values. Your sign-in code and your session token are
stored hashed. A code expires, a token can be revoked.

How you use the app, only if you agree to it: when your locked stretches
start and end, when an escape is used, your hours, and technical events such as
opening the app or creating a mode. Lawful basis: your consent, article 6(1)(a).

You choose on the first screen, and you can turn it off at any time from your
profile. Qube works exactly the same either way.

⚠️ What is never sent, even with your agreement: Screen Time tokens, your
app selection, and the names of your modes. A detail attached to an event can
only be a number or a yes/no — never free text.

How long

Your account and your email: while you use Qube, then three years. Invoices: ten
years, as accounting law requires. Sign-in codes: minutes. Usage statistics:
[DURATION, e.g. 24 months], or until you withdraw your agreement.

Nobody else. No third-party analytics kit, no advertising SDK.

Screen Time

Qube uses Apple’s Family Controls API in individual mode: you restrict your own
apps, on your own device. Nobody else is involved, there is no monitoring and no
parental account, and none of it leaves your iPhone.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected, erased or ported,
and you can object to it being handled. Write to help@joinqube.com and we answer
within a month.

You can also delete your account from inside the app, in your profile. That
clears the account on our side and everything on the phone, in one go.
